Stacy is the Dean of Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine, where her focus over the past five years has been on developing curriculum that produces confident, competent, day-one-ready graduates and innovative new veterinary-related programs. She graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Following a large animal surgery residency at the University of Saskatchewan, she completed her PhD in 2015 under the supervision of Baljit Singh, former Dean at the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

As President of Mars Veterinary Health North America, Doug is responsible for Banfield, BluePearl, and VCA veterinary hospital groups. Previously, Doug served as President of Animal Hospitals & Petcare Services for VCA, the largest owner and operator of standalone animal hospitals in the United States and Canada. Before joining VCA in 2009, he was chief executive officer and co-founder of ThinkPets, Inc., and prior to that, worked as an investment banker for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and as a consultant for Accenture.

Mike is the co-owner of Advanced Veterinary Services family of 9 hospitals in southern Ohio, Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia. He has served on several advisory boards at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Frank Stanton Foundation Spectrum of Care Advisory Board, and is also affiliated with several education institutions promoting STEM Education with contributions to the profession of veterinary medicine. Mike was recently honored as Distinguished Alumni of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI)
As the leader of HABRI, the only research organization focused solely on the human-animal bond, Steve has developed significant expertise in communicating the science of human-animal interaction and its practical application in society. He is frequently published and quoted on this topic in leading veterinary publications and news outlets. Steve also serves as liaison to the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Steering Committee on Human-Animal Interaction, developing policies and resources to help veterinarians strengthen the human-animal bond. Steve is an experienced strategist and coalition builder, using his skills to create a more pet-inclusive society.

She joined Mars Petcare in 2022 from Johnson & Johnson (J&J) where she served as Head of Enterprise Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO. Greene has almost 30 years of industry experience spanning general management, commercial operations, pre-clinical and clinical research across both the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors.
Founder of Sylvester.ai, Susan has spent 20 years working with food and pharma multinationals to bring products to market via veterinary clinics and direct to consumer. Susan co-founded cathealthy.ca in 2013, a globally recognized not-for-profit that created the first-of-its-kind preventive care protocols for cats. In the fall of 2023, Susan was nominated as 1 of 5 finalists in Women in AI, Entrepreneur of the Year across North America for her development of Sylvester.ai's groundbreaking pet health technology.

Andy brings a broad range of experience—the military, law, public health, veterinary medicine—to his current leadership position as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from The Ohio State University in 1981 and 1985, respectively, and began his professional career working in a mixed animal practice with primary emphasis on dairy herd health.
Aaron Massecar, PhD

Aaron is the Executive Director of the Veterinary Innovation Council. He spent his academic career in philosophy, culminating with a PhD from the University of Guelph in 2011. He has held previous roles as the Assistant Director at the Translational Medicine Institute at Colorado State University for two years and has the also been the former vice president of education at Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG). In his current role, he helps drive innovation by writing and speaking on topics that affect the veterinary industry, educating startups on the basics of entrepreneurship, and coordinating the Veterinary Innovation Summit each year.

Rustin has served as dean of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine since September 2015. He has published more than 120 peer/editor-reviewed manuscripts; nearly 20 book chapters; and presented/published greater than 175 scientific abstracts, over 100 continuing education lectures/conference proceedings, and more than 100 outreach and professional presentations. Rustin is passionate about and a frequently invited speaker on topics such as diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the veterinary profession; health and well-being in the veterinary profession; the power of the pet and the human-animal bond; spectrum of care, access to care and healthcare disparities in veterinary medicine; One Health; and more.

Angela is the Senior Vice President of Business Operations at Scratch. In this role, Angela leads veterinary group implementations of Scratch's suite of payment plan and payment processing solutions as well as Scratch's customer success team. Prior to joining Scratch, she worked at NVA on the Business Operations team, leading the selection and rollout of dozens of marketing, HR, and payments technologies.

Aimee is a business partner in two full-service veterinary clinics (Community Pet Care Clinic in Ohio and Open Door Veterinary Care in North Carolina) that focus on removing barriers to care and increasing access to veterinary services while still maintaining a net positive revenue. She has created a non-profit mentorship training called Open Door Veterinary Collective for clinics that want to replicate their business model, including giving back through their revenue, providing incremental care and creating strong community partnerships with human social service and animal nonprofits.

Apryl is the president and chief executive officer of the Dumb Friends League in Denver, Colorado. After practicing veterinary medicine for 18 years, she had the honor of joining the League to advocate for animals who are vulnerable due to homelessness, mistreatment, or their owner’s financial situation. Since becoming the chief executive officer in 2018, she has overseen expansion of the League’s impact to include a veterinary hospital that provides subsidized veterinary care to underserved pet caregivers, led a $40 million shelter renovation, helped develop the Socially Conscious Animal Community framework, and led 280 employees through a changing culture when their executive director of 44 years retired.

Prior to Choice, John was chief executive officer of New Season, with 80 outpatient addiction treatment centers in 22 states, and chief executive officer of InterDent / Gentle Dental, with 150 dental offices in 7 Western states.
